At Premier Prosthetics, we believe in taking a team approach to the rehabilitation process; forming a close working relationship with our patients and their physicians to make rehabilitation faster and easier.
For the convenience of our patients, PREMIER PROSTHETICS currently has two full-service clinics in the San Antonio area. A professional is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In order to uphold our high standards:
To help expedite the registration process, patient forms are available for downloading and printing. Bring the completed patient forms, along with all insurance cards, picture identification and any required medical records with you at your first office visit. Otherwise, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment in order to complete all patient forms. Additional questions regarding registration can be answered by our office staff by calling 210-928-2000 or 210-340-2181.
Regular office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday though Friday. Patients are seen by appointment only. Saturday appointments are available upon request. We strongly believe in the value of your time and we will do our best to keep you from waiting. We appreciate 24 hours notice if you need to change your appointment.
Our administrative staff tends to all incoming calls and will attempt to answer all your questions and fulfill your requests. If you would like to speak to a practitioner please notify our staff if you feel your call requires immediate attention. Otherwise your call will be returned as soon as the scheduled appointments have been completed. This allows our practitioners to attend to their scheduled patients with minimum interruptions.
AFTER HOURS CONTACT: When calling after normal business hours. Please leave a brief detail message on our voice mail and your call will be returned on the next business day.
EMERGENCY CONTACT: You may call our emergency number at 210-287-2357.
Normally, between three and six office visits are needed to fit and fabricate a prosthesis, (Consult-Cast, Fitting, Delivery, Follow Up). * Custom-made appliances take time to manufacture properly. Therefore, it may take additional visits to ensure the proper fit of your device.
If you have an insurance plan that requires a referral, it is your responsibility to obtain an up-to-date referral from your primary care physician before your appointment. If you are an established patient, you must notify us of any changes in your insurance status so that proper referral can be obtained. If a referral has not received by the time of your appointment you may need to reschedule your visit until a current referral can be obtained or pay privately for the visit and we will be happy to reimburse you if a referral is received after your visit.
If you are unsure about your benefits or our referral policy, please ask a receptionist who will be happy to help you.
In order to better serve you and to avoid misunderstanding, we would like to explain our office financial policy. Whether insurance is involved or not, the responsibility for payment ultimately belongs to the patient (parent, guardian, insured,etc.) Please make sure that our office has a copy of your insurance cards and, as a courtesy, we will file your insurance claims for you. At the conclusion of your visit we will collect any applicable co-pays, co-insurance and/or deductibles. We will also collect for services not payable by your insurance company. We accept many forms of payment including cash, check, and Visa/Mastercard.
