Case Studies

Premier Prosthetic works closely with the media on stories about amputees. From time to time members of the media visit Premier Prosthetics to document stories about amputees and in many cases; they ask to interview patients during their treatment. When a photographer or television crew is visiting Premier Prosthetics they may only photograph or interview a patient who has given them expressed permission. We do NOT allow photography or taping without written consent from the patient and we approach the patient first to determine their interest in participation.

My name is Carlos. I reside in Castroville, Texas. I injured my right leg during a firefight, against enemy forces, in Cambodia in 1970. The doctors and staff at Waco, Temple and San Antonio, Texas Veterans Hospitals have managed to save my leg all these years, but with the understanding that I was on borrowed time. I now sport a mid-thigh stump.

Mr. Ricardo Ramos and his staff at Premier Prosthetics have provided me with the best care any individual in need of any type of prosthetic device may need. Mr. Ramos and his staff are very friendly, courteous, and extremely professional.

I am in total awe of the personnel that work at Premier Prosthetics. Their sincere attitude is reflected in those beautiful smiles and firm handshakes that greet you as you enter the front door of their facilities. Your comfort and well being are their priority. Of course, each individual has different physical needs, and Mr. Ramos and his staff make every effort to fit each prosthetic device perfectly. I admit that I have never been treated, anywhere, with such respect and dignity.

The Veterans Administration is extremely fortunate that Mr. Ramos and his staff at Premier Prosthetics take such good care of the veterans that are under their care.
